Turgons? Angrods? Aegnors?
"Note on the Heritage of Gil-Galad: In this family tree Gil-Galad is given as the son of Fingon. This corresponds with the published Silmarillion. However, in The History of Middle Earth Volume XII: The Peoples of Middle-Earth Christopher Tolkien present information to the contrary. He comments that having Gil-Galad as the son of Fingon was only an "ephemeral idea" in the writings of his father. For a long time Tolkien had Gil-Galad as the son of Finrod, but this ultimately was rejected, and Finrod is left unwed and childless. Tolkien's final view, though by no means one with certainty, was that Gil-Galad was the son of Orodreth, and Orodreth was in turn the son of Angrod, thus becoming the grandson, and not son, of Finarfin. In any event, the heritage of Gil-Galad is left, at best, obscure and uncertain given the various possibilities Tolkien used in different writings, none of which can truly be called finished."
